This morning at the Noosa Farmers Market we had the pleasure of purchasing some goodies for ourselves and also for the dogs! As a pet photographer I am always on the lookout for high value (super tasty) but healthy treats to keep pets interested and alert whilst having their photo taken, as well as using them for good behaviour rewards! So when I found the Noosa Barkery stall I instantly fell in love with their natural, home baked and healthy products. I purchased the Sweet Potato Waggers (as Kaiser is very fond of leftover sweet potato) and tested their quality whilst I did a little photo shoot of Kaiser and Turbo (his cousin). The Sweet Potato Waggers definitely got them wagging their tails and performing for some photos, Turbo as you can see in the photo below couldn’t keep his eyes off them!
When we are at Noosa we also love taking Kaiser to the Spit. I grew up taking my childhood Fox Terrier here nearly every weekend but over the years the area suffered from erosion and was shut down for quite a while. The council have done a great job at restoring it and I am so glad it is still an off leash dog beach! We met the gorgeous Border Collie pictured below who was keen to give Kaiser some fetch competition.
I spent the remainder of the time taking ‘shaking-dog’ photos of Kaiser as he got out of the water from fetching his Kong, he certainly puts a lot of movement into his shaking and there wasn’t a single photo without a crazy eye, lip or tooth. This was my favourite shaking dog image below and I will certainly be trying this in the future with a hairier dog for more effect!
