Family Portraits Laidley – Lockyer Valley

A couple of weeks ago I had an absoloute ball taking lots of photos of a close friend and her family.  She is the middle of three sisters; Erin, Emma and Ashleigh…it has always sounded like three sisters out of a Pride and Prejudice-like story to me.  However without all the drama, these three sisters all have strapping men by their sides who also came along for the fun!  Parents, Jon and Sandra, own a beautiful piece of a land in the Lockyer Valley which gave us the perfect backdrop as a Winter sun set.

With 6 dogs getting around on the property at the same time it was hard not to take some photos of them whilst scouting my light before the family came!

Not too often can family’s this large get together, knowing this all too well myself coming from a large family!  I am so happy I am able to record these moments to cherish, Emma and Matt are soon to be married, Erin and Ken are expecting a baby and these photos are taken just a week before Ash and Andy jetted off for 6 months.  Like most parents, you can tell how proud Jon and Sandra are of their children whenever you are around them.  Jon and Sandra’s businesses are aptly named Emerleigh Embroidery and Emerleigh Patchwork, a combination of their daughter’s names which I have always thought was so clever.

Adelaide loves her time so much at the Goetz’s, she was so happy the whole time but couldn’t wait to be onto the next thing.  She made me work for the perfect shots, but it was so worth it!

With so many backdrops in the one location we got to do lots of couple shots as well before we lost the golden hour.

The photo below of all three sisters brought tears to Sandra’s eyes when she first saw it as a sneak peek on facebook, when she told me it nearly gave me tears, but more so a huge sense of accomplishment that I could capture something so special for them!  What an amazing afternoon with an amazing family 😀
