Yesterday afternoon Kaiser and I took advantage of a day off for me and the beautiful weather that we have been having in Brisbane. We went to a quiet local swimming spot on the North Pine River that we love frequenting, Kaiser starts yelping with excitement in the car during the last few turns before we arrive. It frustrates me how my muse has become so conditioned to having the lens in his face that I have to work so hard for amazing shots of him. However yesterday he was on fire, it must be all the training we have been doing recently. I cannot recommend quality training and communication with your dog enough. It deepens not only your relationship but also the enjoyment you can have together through a better understanding of each other, I really feel like I can read Kaiser’s expressions and behaviour and I feel he responds to mine just as well. It doesn’t take much however to tell in the below photos he is purely thinking ‘stop releasing the camera shutter and throw the damn kong’…
Kaiser absoloutely loves swimming, he will do it non-stop even after he is completely exhausted. Understandably we have a lot of photos of him in the water. This location also allows for some extravagant foliage photos like those below.
However he cannot walk past the water and back to the car without another stop. I love it when he ‘points’; something most pointer breeds will still do instinctively without training (the Hungarian Vizsla is a pointer/gundog breed).
No. 2 favourite game?? Tug-o-war for sure!!
