This weekend I have been waking and learning, starting at 2am each morning I have been apart of an online workshop on newborn, baby, family and maternity photography by international leaders in their field Sue Bryce and Kelly Brown. It has inspired me so much I have decided to slowly start building my studio prop collection again to increase the number of different types of shots I am able to achieve for each client. So this weekend was a DIY floor, DIY because each time I book a shoot I empty my piggy bank on props and equipment preparing for the shoot. It turned out exactly how I wanted it to, I will however need to seal it with another few coats of varnish before a cake smash session so it isn’t destroyed by brightly coloured icing! Many newborn come maternity come family and children photographers that I admire are mothers…and I am jealous… even though their models may not be willing they always have their baby or child subjects there to practice on. In steps Kaiser…my baby… and my obvious love for including pet photography in my repertoire!
Now off to bed as there is another segment to this amazing workshop at 2am, for any photographers that may be reading if you haven’t already, check out Creative Live.
